“The SAC North Division looks to be as tough as last season,” Schipper said. “Gobles has lots of kids back and seem to be the team to beat. Bangor has the most kids returning from the 2007 season.
The Blackhawks kick off the season Aug. 28 when they host Lawton in a non-league game. Stennett believes the presence of so many veteran skilled players will be an asset for Fennville. “You just spread everyone, it opens lanes to run, lanes to throw to,” he said. “We’ll use our strengths to our advantage.”
